In the late 1960's my parents went to the University of Hawaii in Oahu. My father received his Masters Degree in Geography and both of my parents taught school in Nanakuli. I attended school there as a boy; I still remember chasing eels in the tide pools with the school children, the cockfight raids, walking on the beach, spear fishing with my friends, and eating the best food that God created. I also remember how the island community was so genuinely authentic and full of love. It is that "aloha spirit" that has been a constant tug on my heartstrings, returning back home to the islands to live.

Following my high school graduation, I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I served for 18 months in the Northern Luzon, Philippines mission. As I served I fell in love with the humble people there. This experience changed my life forever. Not only did it strengthen my character and define my purpose, it prepared me for all that would lie ahead.

In 1985 I attended Brigham Young University Hawaii. I later joined the US Army from Honolulu MEP Station. I was then stationed at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina with the 82nd Airborne. I spent time in the Middle East both before and during Desert Storm. God bless our troops there now, along with their families and the good people of that region. In 1993, after an honorable discharge from the army, I attended Chiropractic School in San Lorenzo, California. After graduating, I returned back again to Hawaii.

My love for chiropractics began as a teenager. In high school I had had a serious football injury to my neck. For days I could not move my neck because the pain was so severe. My father took me to our local chiropractor. He examined me, took an X-ray, told me that my neck was subluxated and explained what he was going to do. As he adjusted my neck, it sounded as if popcorn was popping. When I stood up, not only could I move my neck better, the pain diminished significantly. I thanked him and said, "Wow! You did that with your hands!" At that moment the first impression came over me to be a chiropractor and to help others.

I thank God for my opportunities and experiences to help others. I am grateful that I love what I do; that is helping others and living in a place that is next to heaven. I love my wife, Harue and our two daughters, Sarah and Lisa.

Above and beyond the call of duty with chiropractic care, my office also offers services in massage therapy, physiotherapy, physical therapy, and proper medical referrals. As your chiropractor, I will treat you just as I would like to be treated-with a genuine and sincere concern for improving overall health. My mission statement is to be busy all day rendering quality chiropractic care to as many patients as the office can comfortably handle; to make a difference in the health of our community and to make a paradigm shift from sickness and disease to health and wellness.
